I am happy to announce that I will be a part of a group show at Arc Gallery in San Francisco with some of my fellow Mills peers as well as some of the folks that were a part of the Murphy Cadogan show. The show will run from February 2nd - March 23rd, 2013.
Exciting news to report! The Murphy Cadogan show that I was a part of in San Francisco in September is travelling to Stockton, CA at the San Joaquin Delta College gallery. The opening is January 17th and the show runs until February 8th. For more information click here.
If you didn't get to make it to the opening, 23 of the Bay Area's grad students work is on display at SOMArts in San Francisco. Please do take the time to go check out my work and other talented artists in the show!
I just found out that I got into the Santorini Biennale. I vacationed to Greece this summer and was asked to apply. Such a prestigious opportunity and my first biennale!
I found out recently that I am among 22 other graduate students in the bay area that have recieved the Murphy and Cadogen Award. My work, along with fellow Mills graduate student, Kate Short, will be one display the September 7th.
The Jack K. & Gertrude Murphy Fellowships and the Edwin Anthony & Adelaine Bordeaux Cadogan Scholarships in the Fine Arts offer $4,000 in tuition assistance to outstanding Bay Area fine arts graduate students. These awards are designed to further these students' development and exploration of their artistic potential in digital art, illustration, film/video, hybrid practice, installation, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and filmmaking. The number of awards vary per year. In 2012, we had over 120 applicants and 23 standout MFA students received fellowships.
